Trisha Hammer & Audrey Niffenegger: Poisonous Plants at Table

Ama Medina-Seabright joined the staff of Donna Seager Gallery in the summer of 2006. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Art History from Syracuse University the same year. Ama was the studio assistant for book artist, Macy Chadwick in the summer and winter of 2005 where she was introduced to the book arts. This curation offers the chance to see some books not yet shown in the Bay Area.

Exhibit Statement:

A good book has the ability to transport its reader to another world. Like Alice tumbling down a rabbit hole into Wonderland, so too does a reader tumble through text and imagery into an alternate reality. Kurt Vonnegut once said that it also takes a good reader to enter the worlds that authors have created for us. If you are willing, each book in this curation promises to open a doorway onto another time and place.
