This book has a fable written in 1899 by San Francisco journalist Ambrose Bierce. The fable is written in the style of Aesop, but has a non-Aesop twist. There are 4 watercolor illustrations, two of squirrels. The book is full bound in brown goatskin and the cover features an inset panel with squirrel fur that Donna tanned herself.
