Sisters

These books are an investigation of my relationship as an identical twin. Defining, forming, and re-organizing that relationship has been a part of my life since my twin sister and I have started our lives as separate people. Intimacy, distance, and especially communication are concepts that I've had to define for myself and put into perspective as I've gone through these changes with my sister, and the other people I am close and intimate with. Through words, figurative gestures, and recurring symbols in the imagery, I set up a visual way to express these ideas and changes of the relationship. I use books because of the natural two-fold layout, and by using the linear structure, I am able to tell a progressive narrative.
