Ashley Nicolaus, while receiving her MFA in painting and writing from the California College of the Arts, fell in love with the artist¹s books.
Finally, the marriage of art and words that she had longed for had a form that she could implement.

"Do You Remember Italy?" is Ashley¹s latest hand painted book. She traveled through Italy for two months by herself and there, discovered the joy the Italian landscape. Coupled with the drawings and paintings that she did while there, are her observations about Italy and herself.

She has just finished an illustrated novel called "Succulents".
